Bayern paired with old foes Milan
Bayern have been drawn to face Italian giants AC Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals, with the first leg at the San Siro on Tuesday 3 April and the return at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday 11 April.
Should the 2001 winners overcome the Serie A outfit, they will play the winners of the quarter-final meeting between AS Rome and Manchester United at the semi-final stage.
That was the outcome of the draw ceremony staged by European governing body UEFA at the Megaron International Conference Centre in Athens at midday (CET) on Friday.
Home advantage in second leg
For all the toughness of the task, Bayern will be delighted that the quarter-final first leg takes place at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in the northern Italian metropolis, with the decisive second meeting at the Allianz Arena in front of the Bavarians' passionate home crowd.
In the event they make the last four, the men in red will also play the first leg of the semi-final away from home, with the winner-takes-all return fixture in Munich.
